My Life

I met Alexis at a student government conference in undergrad, approaching her under the guise of “networking” while she waited in line for step show tickets. A reformed man rooted in his neighborhood met a cultured woman from the suburbs, and a brief conversation turned into a lifelong partnership. Today, I’m blessed to be building a joyful, rich, God-honoring life with her, dedicated to serving our community.

My hustle and heart come from my parents – two working-class, high-school sweethearts who do anything to provide my sister and I with the essentials of life. I’m the product of their prayers, sacrifices, and unconditional love. Freeing my family the driving force behind my pursuits. Oh, yes…we are Cowboy fans, and yes I can be proud and sad all at once… I’ll write about that later.

As a first-generation college graduate, education is the vehicle to explore life’s possibilities. After playing Division 1 football at the Air Force Academy, I earned a Master’s of Public Administration during nights and weekends. Today, I’m an MBA candidate at the Wharton School, where I was peer elected to serve as student body president alongside an amazing team of three…but no more formalized education, on to cash flow!

My entrepreneurial journey started at 11 years old, turning $20 of food money into a lawn-mowing hustle that tripled my earnings in a day. My first official job came at 23, leading logistics, HR systems, and emergency operations at Joint Base San Antonio. Later, I served as the military head of HR and Chief of Staff at Buckley Space Base. After Wharton, I’ll join Bain & Co.’s Private Equity practice while pursuing freedom through SME acquisition, building an online presence, and working in public.

Why should you believe in me?

Proven Resilience (Distance Traveled)

I didn’t grow up with wealth, connections, or the resources to make life’s paths smoother. My opportunities weren’t given, they were fought for through prayer and hustle. Despite the odds, I earned my way into the Air Force Academy, became a first-generation college graduate, and worked my way to Wharton. My journey proves that success isn’t about where you start, it’s about the drive to keep going (and a little luck, I’m not oblivious to that).

Authenticity and Transparency (A Real One)

I’m not here to sell perfection, I’m here to share my real story. From navigating financial hardships to leading in high-pressure environments, I’m an open book because exposure changes lives. I don’t have the answers to your problems, but I do have the audacity to share in public what I’ve learned by solving my own – my prayer that you take what I share, and build a life you’re proud of.

Track Record of Impact (Agency, results)

From leading as student body president at Wharton to serving as an Air Force officer and now pursuing entrepreneurship from a corporate launchpad, I’ve demonstrated a consistent ability to achieve results. But more importantly, I’ve helped others along the way because success means little if it’s not shared.
